About Albert Lee
Hi! Apparently, this is the part where I tell you how fabulous I am! Unfortunately, that would require some lying. So we’ll skip that part..
I do want to tell you that for the past six years, I’ve worked for every tour company in the city, learning everyone’s jokes, tips and stories about what to see and do in Philadelphia. It has led me to not only appreciate my upbringing in this city’s Chinatown section but what it takes to call yourself a Philadelphian. We’re tough. We’re rude and totally impatient. We can’t stand watching our sports teams lose and we show it. We’re crass and pretty creative with the English language. But we’re also cultured. We are loyal and we stand by our convictions. We are the middle ground between D.C and New York. But we’re not a pit stop. Not when our democracy started just a few steps away from where I am now. The first zoo is here. The first hospital in the country is here. The first eye center. The first cancer center. The list goes on. I have witnessed my share of heart ache living here and who hasn’t but I gotta say.. there is no where I rather be.
For whatever reason brought you to Philadelphia; convention, job interview, school, love interest, whatever… it doesn’t matter. What you do while your here is my concern.
I spend my day welcoming guests at the Visitor Center of Philadelphia. I hope this site serves as an extension of that service.
I hope Philadelphia becomes your home away from home. And if you ever decide to move here, you can have my cup of sugar.
